Marty is a long time resident of the Pacific Northwest, an early member of the Pocket Yachters, and is an experienced boat restorer and builder.
One of his more recent finished projects was named “Mouse”, a lapstrake gunter yawl, 14’ on deck and 20’ overall including bowsprit and boomkin. Beam of 6,’ with centerboard and kick-up rudder; room for two adults to sleep on the floorboards. It’s design is based on beach boats of Great Britain, circa mid- to late 1800’s, but now you might see it floating in the Point Hudson marina, or sailing out on Port Townsend Bay. Marty, meanwhile, is busy on the next project.
