The current humble web master, Max Stevens lives in Seattle but the origins of his interest in boats can probably be traced back to the 18 foot sailboat his grandfather built.
Loyal, the 22’ Devlin Surf Scoter pictured, was home ported in Des Moines up until 2026 when Max sold her. He’s built several smaller craft himself, including a few kayaks of different construction techniques (the one pictured is a Chesapeake Light Craft 17), a couple of paddleboards, and the current project is a Scamp, which he hopes to launch sometime next year.
